Marine investments stirring in South Florida

There's some good news coming out of the South Florida marine industry.

Several South Florida businesses are renovating or expanding to better position themselves as the economy recovers, while others have been given a second chance by new owners, The Miami Herald reports.

Four projects highlight the range of marine activity in South Florida, which accounts for $13.6 billion in economic impact. They include a marina, two repair yards and a boatbuilding site.

More than 100 jobs have been created - and others saved - as a result of these projects.
