Mariner’s Choice set for name change

Mariner's Choice International, a North American manufacturer and marketer of ecologically safe products for the marine and other industry segments, announced it is preparing for a name and symbol change.

“Our business focus has been evolving over the past few years from what the business was originally based on. While the high-performing, ecologically safe products under the ‘Mariner's Choice’ brand still hold up and offer potential and promise, it's proven to be a tediously long and a slow-climbing process,” president and CEO Amie Hingston said in a statement.

“Fortunately, our journey has taken us to other areas, such as environmental remediation, where the opportunities for significant growth exist,” Hingston added. “For this reason we believe that the name of the company should be more relevant and reflective of the broader scope of our capabilities."

The new company name and symbol were not released.
