The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association will hold “Massachusetts Kids Boating Day” events June 2-10.

The effort is designed to encourage and promote youth boating and fishing events.

This will be the second year the MMTA has promoted the endeavor, and has stretched it into a nine-day event rather than a single day.

“We expect the current list of events will grow as we encourage our members and other youth related programs to host events as well,” said the MMTA in a statement.

The dates of Massachusetts Kids Boating Day coincide with Great Outdoors Month and National Fishing and Boating Week
