Massachusetts Marine Trades Educational Trust hands out scholarships

Publish date:

The Massachusetts Marine Trades Educational Trust announced the recipients of its Technical Training Awards program.

The program was established this year in collaboration with a $1,500 scholarship award received from the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas Educational Trust.

As part of the requirement for the Educational Trust award, MMTET had to match the MRAA’s $1,500 and award the scholarship funds to Massachusetts Marine Trades Association members.

The MMTET added $2,000 to MRAA’s $1,500 so it could offer vice members $1,000 each.

The award winners:

  • Diesel Smith of Dennis Port, Mass.
  • Goose Hummock Shops of Orleans, Mass.
  • Manchester Marine Corp. of Manchester, Mass.
  • Parker’s Boat Yard of Cataumet, Mass.
  • SK Marine Electronics of New Bedford, Mass.
