Max Power Compact Retract thruster

Max Power says its new Compact Retract thruster eliminates the problem of reduced turning-moment performance found in traditional tunnel-style thrusters, which cannot be installed as far forward in the hull as possible to reach necessary immersion depth.

The Max Power thruster retracts when not in use and leaves clean hull lines with no impact on a boat’s drag. Designed for performance sailboats and powerboats from 30 to 52 feet, the quiet-running, low profile, lightweight units achieve ideal immersion depth when deployed, according to the company. Features include integrated electric motor; user-friendly joystick and control panel; and high-resistance, spiro-conical gears. The Compact Retract thruster is available in 12- and 24-volt models. Distributed by Navimo USA in Sarasota, Fla., the list price is $11,238. Call (866) 383-1888 or e-mail info@navimousa.com.
