The Marine Industries Association of South Florida said Seminole Gaming CEO James Allen will be the keynote speaker Saturday at the trade group’s annual membership meeting.

Responsible for gaming operations at the Seminole Tribe of Florida since 2001, Allen has guided the development of Seminole Gaming into one of the world's most successful gaming entities, with current operations that include seven casinos in Florida, the MIASF said. Allen also led the Florida tribe's 2007 acquisition of Hard Rock International.

“We are honored that one of the most successful and respected executives in the gaming industry is willing to share his experience and business insight with us,” MIASF executive director Phil Purcell said in a statement.
