MIASF holds waterway cleanup tour

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida is organizing the 41 annual Broward County Waterway Cleanup. Volunteers are expected to participate in cleaning tons of trash and debris from 35 sites throughout the county.

Members of the media are invited to join MIASF CEO/president Phil Purcell on a boat tour of some of the local waterway cleanup sites on March 3 at the Lauderdale Small Boat Club in Fort Lauderdale at 11:30 a.m.

Immediately following, the annual Trash Bash Volunteer Thank You Party will be held at the boat club from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. with food, drinks, music, door prizes and announcements of scholarship winners.
