Michigan foundation awards student scholarships

The Recreational Boating Industries Educational Foundation awarded $6,800 in scholarships to 10 Michigan students interested in marine industry careers.

The foundation’s scholarship fund was developed in 1984 by the Michigan Boating Industries Association as a support program for students interested in pursuing careers in the recreational boating industry.

Scholarships are awarded based upon the value the applicant displays to the industry, academic achievement and financial need. With this granting, the fund will have distributed $339,396 to students.
