Michigan schedules Clean Marina workshops

Two Michigan workshops have been scheduled for marina operators interested in becoming designated Clean Marinas.

Training workshops focus on practical, common-sense tips for controlling pollutants associated with recreational boating operations, maintenance and storage, as well as an overview of relevant environmental laws and regulations.

The Muskegon workshop is scheduled for Nov. 7 at the Bayside Centre. The Bay City workshop is scheduled for Dec. 5 at the Doubletree Hotel. Both sessions run from 1 to 4 p.m. and require advance registration.

Michigan currently has 18 designated Clean Marinas.

Links to registration forms can be found at Michigan Boating Industries Association Web site, or contact the group at (734) 261-0123.
