Morris Yachts hired Susan James as the company’s new marketing and PR manager, leading Morris’ customer communication, marketing strategy and execution for its new boats, service, brokerage and charter divisions.
The Maine builder said James joins Morris with more than 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising and design.
She has 12 years of experience as marketing manager for OceanLED and Navionics, where she was responsible for the companies’ brands, marketing collateral, advertisements, PR, events, internal and external communications, their websites and social media channels.
“I’m so very pleased to be joining and representing such a highly respected and distinguished brand in the industry,” James said in a statement. “Morris yachts are beautiful works of art built by devoted craftsman in a beautiful place. This is a dream-come-true position for me.”
James is a Castine, Maine, resident who recently relocated from Plymouth, Mass.
She will be responsible for the company’s marketing and public relations initiatives for each of its four divisions.
