Nautic Global Group names new COO

Nautic Global Group appointed senior vice president Mike O’Connell as chief operating officer and announced additional changes to its sales organization.

“This organization change further promotes our company’s core strategies of operational excellence, brand leadership, innovation, winning relationships and market expansion,” CEO Brad Gates said in a statement.

O’Connell previously ran the company’s manufacturing organization and will continue to report to Gates. O’Connell will be responsible for the alignment and prioritization of the company’s strategies to ensure operational excellence across the company, specifically as it relates to the manufacturing and delivery of quality products to Nautic’s customer base.

Effective Aug. 1, Andy Lindstrom and Mike Kamaloski are being promoted to national sales managers for Nautic’s North American markets, the company said in a separate statement. All regional sales managers will report directly to them.

Bob Wachs, brand manager for the pontoon business, is being promoted to dealer development director. Wachs will focus on relationship building, dealer expansion, national accounts and developing tools to create a healthier dealer network.The brand manager positions are being replaced with product managers that will work closely with the engineering group to drive new product innovation.

Vice president of sales and marketing Doug Sexton will leave the company, effective July 25. The company said Sexton has delivered significant market share gains at Nautic.

A replacement sales vice president is being recruited.
