Newport Show Accepting Applications for Product Awards

The Newport International Boat Show yesterday announced that it is accepting applications for its Newport for New Products program, which recognizes boats and products launched after April 1, 2022. Entries are judged based on design, innovation and consumer value.

“Our Newport for New Products Program is always one of the highlights of the show,” Jocelyn Emory, marketing director of Newport Exhibition Group, said in a statement. “Last year, we had a record number of 40 entries, and the innovation on display was incredible. We are excited to provide our exhibitors a unique marketing and media platform to show their United States debuts and look forward to seeing what they enter.”

Categories include best powerboat and best sailboat; best product — technology; best product — boat operation, maintenance and safety; and best foul weather gear. A People’s Choice Award for Best Boat Debut is voted online through the show’s social media channels. The program also includes “green” and “accessibility” categories for which each company accepted into the program is eligible.

The deadline to apply is June 15.
