PHOTO COURTESY NIMBUSNimbus Group announced that it will start building Nimbus models at the EdgeWater Boats plant in Edgewater, Fla. The Swedish company acquired EdgeWater earlier this year.
Nimbus Group said in a statement that the facility has been updated to meet increased demand and that the Nimbus T8 will be produced there for launch in the 2025 model year.
“Local production of the Nimbus brand boats is another step in the Nimbus Group’s strategic investment in the sale of premium boats in the important North America market,” the group stated in the release. “The North American powerboat market is by far the largest in the world and accounts for approximately half of the world market.”
For the third quarter of 2023, Nimbus reported an organic sales increase of 19%, while its North American orders increased to $52.4 million, or 58% of the total order book.
