Visitors to METS 2010 in November in Amsterdam are invited to ConnectFest, a daylong live demonstration of NMEA 2000, the international networking standard that allows marine electronic devices to "talk" to each other.

A seminar on NMEA 2000, and seminars and panel discussions on marine automatic identification systems and satellite communications, also will be offered at the Marine Equipment Trade Show. The events are organized by the U.S.-based National Marine Electronics Association and are free to trade personnel.

METS 2010 is set for Nov. 16-18 at the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre in the Netherlands.
