NMMA and MRAA BoatPAC tops fundraising goal

The National Marine Manufacturers Association and Marine Retailers Association of the Americas BoatPAC has exceeded its 2017 fundraising goal.

The groups had set a goal of $150,000, and the NMMA reported that the PAC received almost $154,000 from 312 contributors.

The support allowed the NMMA and MRAA to tackle important issues on Capitol Hill while advocating for the recreational boating industry, the NMMA said.

The NMMA and MRAA signed on for a payroll deduction and they said others that did included Beneteau, BRP, Chaparral Boats, Chris-Craft, Cobalt Boats, Formula Boats, Grady-White Boats, HydroHoist, International Marina Group, Intrepid, Maverick Boats, Navico, NorCross Marine, Regulator Marine, SeaStar Solutions and Scout Boats.

Also recognized were companies that stepped up as BoatPAC corporate sponsors, including BRP, Cobalt Boats, Enovation Controls, Evinrude, HydroHoist, International Yacht Brokers Association, Manion, Gaynor and Manning LLP, Sea-Doo, SeaStar Solutions, SeaTow, SureShade, and Yamaha Marine.
