NMMA cancels Rosemont boat show

The National Marine Manufacturers Association recently notified exhibitors that the Rosemont Sportfishing, Travel & Outdoors Show in Illinois was canceled.

The event was scheduled for Jan. 25-29 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.

The NMMA said there was not a sufficient critical mass to create an acceptable selling environment for exhibitors and a quality event for attendees.

The NMMA said it now will be able to focus on producing a more robust Progressive Insurance Chicago Boat, Sports & RV Show. That event is scheduled for Jan. 12-16.
