The National Marine Manufacturers Association Democratic National Convention Day on the Water event, which took place Tuesday in Philadelphia, brought together more than 225 attendees and included several local, state and federal elected officials.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of boating activities ranging from wake surfing and cruising the Delaware River to casting and fishing lessons from the local nonprofit Mid Atlantic Youth Anglers.

Dana Russikoff, president of event partner SureShade, received an award from Philadelphia City Council to honor the company’s 10-year anniversary. Boats were provided by Yamaha, SureShade — which was on a Boston Whaler — and Nautique, according to the NMMA.

The NMMA thanked event partners Correct Craft; Delaware River City Corp.; Freedom Boat Club; HydroHoist; MarineMax; the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission; Regulator; SureShade; and Yamaha, and all who attended the event.
