NMMA outlines its Republican convention event

The National Marine Manufacturers Association is inviting people to spend "A Day on the Water" on Aug. 28 during the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.

The NMMA says it is holding the event to give elected leaders insight into the recreational boating industry, featuring exhibits highlighting technological, environmental and safety advancements in the industry.

The association also will highlight the economic impact of the marine industry on the U.S. economy and provide boat demonstrations on Tampa Bay. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. at the Hula Bay Club in Tampa.

The group will hold a similar event on Sept. 4 during the Democratic National Convention.
