U.S. outboard engine wholesale shipments were up 4.9 percent year over year for the 12 months through October.

That was for the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s control group of manufacturers, which represents 95 percent of the market.

Gains continue to be led by four-strokes and higher-powered engines.

Total retail sales based on warranty card registrations were up 9.2 percent on a rolling 12-month year-over-year basis, the NMMA said.
