NMMA reports increase in powerboat shipments

The National Marine Manufacturers Association said wholesale shipments of traditional powerboats for the NMMA’s control group of manufacturers were up 6 percent and corresponding dollars were up 8.6 percent for January.

The NMMA said shipments have been growing for the last seven months, with the increases led by ski boats, aluminum outboard boats and fiberglass outboard boats (up 12 percent, 14 percent and 9.2 percent year-over-year, respectively).
