NMMA seeks nominations for leadership award

The National Marine Manufacturers Association is accepting nominations for the 2011 Alan J. Freedman Memorial Leadership Award, which is given to an individual in the marine accessory sector.

The award will be presented Oct. 17 during the show's annual Industry Breakfast at the 2011 International BoatBuilders' Exhibition & Conference.

The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions, throughout the course of their careers, to the marine accessories' industry through leadership, creativity and personal motivation. Nominees can be from all accessory segments: accessory manufacturer, representative, member of the media, dealer, distributor or an association staff person.

To nominate an individual for the Alan J. Freedman Memorial Award, download and complete the 2011 nomination application. Applicants must also submit a personal statement supporting the nomination and outlining the nominee's qualifications; the nominee's biography; supporting materials, documents or news articles; and any other statements or letters of recommendation from co-nominators who endorse the nomination.

The completed nomination form and supporting materials must be submitted by Sept. 1.
