The National Marine Manufacturers Association will offer its annual statistical abstract, which contains 2010 boating stats, as a digital PDF file that members can soon download from the website.

However, because the abstract was so popular last year, the NMMA is making it possible for members to pre-order a printed copy of the 2010 statistical abstract. Orders must be placed by May 16. The cost is $55. A DVD is available for $950 for non-members.

The statistical abstract is one of the most important and useful resources for data and in-depth statistics on the U.S. recreational boating industry. The report will be released in June and it has the latest data covering sales of new and used boats; imports and exports; and economic indicators for recreational boating, among other data.

The printed report is about 240 pages and is in full color. To order, e-mail Melissa Malito or call (312) 946-6209.

Starting in the second week in June, members can download one free digital copy of the abstract. Additional copies on DVD are offered to members for $250.
