The National Marine Representatives Association announced that Ivan Cross of the The Merifield Co. received its Old Pro Award.

The award recognizes an industry member’s contributions to the association and the marine representative profession.

“[Cross] is a complete professional, an awesome salesperson, extremely knowledgeable of all things boating-related, a hard worker, an avid boater and an overall great guy,” NMRA president Scott Kolodny, who presented the award, said in a statement.

Cross has spent his entire career in the marine industry, becoming a partner in The Merifield Co. in 1983.

“Ivan was my predecessor at Fisheries Supply, then a customer, a competitor and thereafter one of the best factory representatives in our times,” said John Rothermel, of Fisheries Supply and colleague of more than 50 years.
