NMRA seeks applicants for scholarships

Schools are encouraged to promote the scholarships. Applications are due July 1; the winners will be announced this summer.

Since 2008, the National Marine Representatives Association has contributed to the future of the marine industry with scholarships to people who pursue an education and a career in the maritime trades.

Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded this year. High school seniors and college and vocational students can request an application from NMRA at info@nmraonline.org.

Schools are encouraged to promote the scholarships. Applications are due July 1; the winners will be announced this summer.

"NMRA scholarships hold a special place in the life of our organization," NMRA president Rob Gueterman said in a statement. "We're always heartened to read the applications and know that the future of the marine industry will be in such talented and capable hands."
