Pa. extends application deadline for board position

Qualified candidates from northwestern Pennsylvania interested in representing District 1 on the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission board have until April 10 to submit their resume and cover letter.

The Governor's Advisory Council for Hunting, Fishing and Conservation extended its deadline for accepting applications for an upcoming vacancy on the board.

The district includes Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, Venango, Butler, Warren, Forest and Clarion counties.

According to the Fish and Boat code, in order to qualify as a commissioner, the applicant must be a resident of the district and be well-informed on the subjects of conservation, restoration, fishing and boating. The term of service is eight years.
