Parker Boats Names Scott Bauer as President
Scott Bauer has been named president of Parker Boats, announced Bill Yeargin, president and CEO of parent company Correct Craft, which acquired Parker Boats in April of last year.
Bauer’s boating industry career started 26 years ago with Outboard Marine Corp., where he gained experience in both engine manufacturing and aluminum boat construction. A 17-year run followed with Tracker Marine Group in various sales and customer service positions. Bauer last served as vice president of sales and service at sister company Nautique Boats.
“My relationship with Scott has grown over the past four and a half years,” said Yeargin in a statement, “Scott is highly respected among competitors, dealers, vendors, employees and customers and we couldn’t be more excited about his new role at Parker.”
In the time since Correct Craft acquired Parker, the Beaufort, N.C., builder has seen a new facility expansion, updated model lines as well as new leadership in key positions.
“I am extremely excited about the future of Parker Boats and am certain Scott and the Parker team will do great things in the years ahead,” Yeargin added.
Both incoming president Bauer and Yeargin paid homage to Parker company founders.
“We have a passionate team that will build on the great foundation that Linwood and Trudy Parker established for over 56 years,” said Bauer, “We have an exciting future ahead and I look forward to meeting and working with our Parker dealers and partners.”
“I am extremely appreciative of Linwood and Trudy Parker. They built an amazing company and laid the foundation upon which we have been building. We will forever be grateful to them and know any future success we have at Parker Boats will be built on their shoulders,” said Yeargin.
