Boat trailer manufacturer Phoenix Trailers said it named a new Southern regional sales manager as a direct result of taking over manufacturing and distribution operations for Metal Fabrication Inc. dealers.

Dave Wilkinson will be responsible for customer service, dealer and inside sales, and service calls. He also will handle trailer production and delivery coordination, order input, and product refinement and development. He will work all retail shows in his territory.

"I will be meeting and communicating with MFI's dealers and taking the time to get to know their needs, wants and desires, so I can focus on exceeding their expectations," Wilkinson said in a statement. "Phoenix builds a high-quality trailer that I can stand behind with confidence. Both myself and the company believe customer service comes first."
