Priority One Financial Services said today that staff accountant Margaret Friauf died Sunday at her home after a battle with cancer.

“Margaret was a member of the Priority One family for nearly eight years and contributed to the growth and success of the company,” Priority One said in a statement. “The dealers, lenders and consumers who worked with her were always impressed by her professionalism and desire to serve. Co-workers at Priority One say they will miss her intelligence, quiet dedication and deep compassion.”

Friauf won the company’s Above and Beyond award in 2011, which recognizes and rewards people who exceed the needs of Priority One and its dealer partners.

Outside work, Friauf was said to enjoy spending time with her husband, Kyle, playing with her cat, Hobby, and shopping, especially for jewelry.

Earlier in life, she spent time living on a boat and in an RV.
