Progressive Insurance signed on this week to become next year's title sponsor for four boat shows produced by the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association, the group announced.

The 2012 schedule of events will begin in January, when the Progressive Insurance Mid-America Boat Show opens at the I-X Center in Cleveland, and it includes the Progressive Insurance Catawba Island Boat Show in May, the Progressive Insurance Michigan City In-Water Boat Show in August and the Progressive Insurance North American In-Water Boat Show at Cedar Point in September.

The National Marine Manufacturers Association recently announced that Progressive Insurance had also become the title sponsor of its shows.

“It’s really great to work with an Ohio company that is committed to serving local boaters,” show manager Ken Alvey said in a statement. “This partnership is going to greatly benefit boat show visitors, exhibitors and Progressive customers.”
