Wholesale marine electronics distributor Consolidated Electronic Distributors have added Dustin Travis as senior vice president of operations and business development. Travis will be based at the company’s long-time location along Florida’s Space Coast in Rockledge. “Over the past 22 years I have held almost every position onboard a boat and have worked for some of the best government and recreational manufacturers in the boating industry.” Travis said in a statement. “I am excited to transition into my new role at CED Marine and continue to support the marine industry.” CED Marine was founded in 1971 and sold late last year, with new ownership launching an updated website and dealer portal in recent months; clients also include boat manufacturers and installers.

MarineMax national director of special projects Mike Aiello is celebrating a significant milestone — 35 years in the boating industry. In 1885, Aiello started at Brick, N.J.-based Merit Marine, which became one of the inaugural MarineMax locations. He has also overseen MarineMax franchises in Maryland, Ohio, Minnesota and New York during his long run with the company. "Integrity is the most important asset anyone can have in business, without it, it is nothing. I've been extremely fortunate to work in an industry that I truly enjoy,” Aiello said in a statement.
