The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas announced in a statement that Podium is a new Platinum Partner. Based in Utah, Podium provides messaging systems designed to improve customer communications. “Podium has shown tremendous growth within the interaction management process, so it’s great to have an organization that helps our members enrich the customer experience and connections,” said Allison Gruhn, MRAA director of business development. Platinum Partners help the MRAA fulfill its mission of providing tools, resources and educational programming to dealers.

Xantrex added to its Freedom XC inverter/charger product line, the company announced. The compact, lightweight units feature 50-amp transfer relay and are capable of charging of any battery chemistry, including lithium ion. NMEA 2000 communications enable it (and other compliant connected devices) to be monitored and controlled with a single multifunction display. Click here for a video.

The National Marine Manufacturers Association reported that California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Vermont and Washington launched a coordinated effort to curtail the use of single-use plastics by holding producers responsible for the end-of-life management of plastic packaging.
