The acquisitions continue for OneWater Marine with the addition of the full-service Roscioli Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to its portfolio. The acquisition includes all real estate and in-water dockage. “Bob Roscioli founded Roscioli Yachting Center with the mantra ‘Today’s the Day,’ which is echoed by the OneWater team,” OneWater Marine CEO Austin Singleton said in a statement. “We are incredibly proud to welcome the Roscioli team to the OneWater family and to blend their industry-leading skillset with our proven strategic vision.”
AkzoNobel announced it acquired New Nautical Coatings, adding the Sea Hawk brand to the Dutch conglomerate’s line of marine coatings. “North America is a key region for our yacht coatings business — it’s the largest yacht coatings market in the world — so this is an excellent deal which perfectly complements our activities and offers excellent opportunities for growth,” AkzoNobel CEO Thierry Vanlancker said in a statement.
The American Boat & Yacht Council holds its annual meeting and happy hour virtually at 4:30 today. The meeting precedes ABYC’s virtual training session Sur/Tech, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday to help surveyors and technicians earn their required continuing education credits. “ABYC’s annual meeting is all about celebrating our industry’s hard work to keep boaters safe on the water in record numbers,” ABYC president John Adey said in a statement. The group will hold its Project Technical Committee meetings Jan. 11-22, and will run a virtual Standards Certification course Jan. 26-28.
