The Marine Industries Association of South Florida held a virtual annual meeting emceed by former Denver Bronco’s running back Reggie Rivers, followed by an online party with live music and open chat room. Newly elected board members are: Julie Berry of Marina Investments Group Stiles Realty, Tyler Chappell of the Chappell Group, Michael Kelly of Bradford Marine, and Glenn Allen of Fleet Miami, said Lauderdale Marine Center president and MIASF chair Doug West in a statement.

In the two and a half months between March and early June, governors have issued nearly 2,000 emergency orders and directives related to the covid-19 crisis, among additional issues, according to the National Marine Manufacturers Association. State legislatures are coming back into session or calling special sessions this summer to review state budgets and relief bills like business interruption insurance. The NMMA also listed state issues on the group’s radar.
