In the wake of the covid-19 pandemic, Groupe Beneteau has reorganized the executive management team of its boat division, the company announced in a statement. The multinational builder’s once dual departments — industrial operations and development — will be combined and led by Jean-Paul Chapeleau. Accordingly, Christophe Caudrelier’s position as the head of operations has been eliminated. On July 9, the company expects to unveil “an in-depth review of the evolution of the Group’s strategy” that will enable the company to get quickly back on track for profitable growth.

After 15 years at its Portsmouth, R.I., location, Ronstan USA will move two miles down the road to a new location. Staying local has allowed Ronstan to retain its entire staff and ensure minimal disruption, according to the company. In addition, the location has marine industry neighbors, as it’s adjacent to Quantum Sails and Maritime Solutions. Operations will close for three days in late June to accommodate the move.
