Furuno Mourns Jeff Shield.
Publish date:

Furuno is mourning the death of Jeff Shield, a commercial sales representative who died Oct. 20 following complications from a medical procedure. A Delaware native, Shield brought his knowledge and expertise to the Furuno sales department over the last five years as a commercial sales representative for the East Coast and Great Lakes regions. During that time, he contributed to the fleet navigation retrofit of the Canadian Coast Guard and the fleet renewal of Doppler Speed Logs for his beloved USCG. “The people you love and respect are never gone from you memories and thoughts,” said GMT Electronics general manager Michael Matta in a statement. “ They never vanish, they just pass to an everlasting life. Yet we still miss them no matter what. No matter how strong we are in the faith.”
