The Sea Tow Foundation announced that applications for the National Boating Industry Safety Awards are due Oct. 15. The goal is to “shine the spotlight and recognize more segments within the industry who actively champion boating safety,” executive director Gail Kulp said in a statement. Winners will be announced during the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas’ virtual Dealer Week, Dec. 8-11.
Brunswick Corp. named Brent Dahl vice president of investor relations. He replaces Al Marchetti, who moved into the newly created position of senior director of special finance projects and finance modernization. “Brent has done a fantastic job leading our internal audit team and has excelled in various financial leadership roles within Brunswick over the past 18 years,” CEO Ryan Gwillim said in a statement. “Al understands our financial processes in detail, and I’m thrilled that that he has accepted this role that will modernize our capabilities.”
Consolidated Electronic Distributors (CED Marine) named Paul Michele senior vice president of sales and marketing. Michele is a 26-year veteran of the marine and fishing industry, having spent more than a decade at Garmin/Navionics. “I'm beyond excited to be joining CED Marine and have the opportunity to further develop their current path of rapid sales and dealer growth,” Michele said in a statement. CED Marine was founded in 1971 and sold last year, with new ownership launching an updated website and dealer portal.
