US Harbors — the free tide, weather and local information source — last year established National Harbormaster Appreciation Day. This year’s celebration takes place Thursday Oct. 8, and will feature giveaways and interviews with harbormasters from New York City, Alaska, Florida, New England and North Carolina during a live Zoom event at 6 p.m. EDT. More than 80,000 people participated in the inaugural event by posting photos, stories, videos and more. Access the event here.

Grady-White Boats honored MarineMax Houston and MarineMax Jacksonville with its Admiral’s Circle award, which recognizes dealers in the builder’s network for top-tier sales and customer service. MarineMax locations in Pensacola, Gulf Shores, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City and Miami were recognized for sales achievement, and Island Marine Center was honored for service excellence. “Congratulations to our teams for winning these prestigious Grady-White awards for the model year 2020, in recognition of exceptional achievement in sales, service and customer experience,” MarineMax retail operations president Kyle Langbehn said in a statement.

Oyster Yachts named Allie Smith head of group events. Smith will utilize her experience organizing international and around-the-world races to manage the U.K. builder’s international regattas, rallies and events. “I’m delighted to have joined Oyster Yachts. … [Its] events are world-renowned and have been instrumental in helping Oyster owners, families and crew enjoy over 20 million bluewater sailing miles and 90 world circumnavigations,” Smith said in a statement.
