Boat dealers honored with the 2019 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index Awards have been announced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association. The comprehensive program surveyed nearly 200,000 customers that purchased a new boat or engine last year, with data gathered via the Marine Industry CSI program. “Boat dealers are at the leading edge of delivering boaters an extraordinary experience that creates lifelong boat ownership and participation,” said NMMA senior vice president Robert Newsome in a statement. “The 2019 boat dealer CSI Award honorees have demonstrated that exceptional sales and service enhances overall customer satisfaction and upholds the integrity of the U.S. recreational boating industry.” The complete list of those honored can be seen here.
Virginia Business magazine recognized Volvo Penta of the Americas’ Martin Bjuve — who leads the strategic direction and execution of the company’s operations in the Americas and Caribbean — as a top leader in manufacturing in the publication’s inaugural Virginia 500 Power Listing. Bjuve, who operates out of the company’s Chesapeake, Va., office and has been with Volvo Penta for almost 20 years, also served as CFO and senior vice president at the company’s headquarters in Sweden, the company said in a statement.
Suntex Marina Investors has named Bert Morales general manager of Kentucky Dam Marina in Gilbertsville, Ky. In 2017, Morales became an investor and part-owner of a yacht charter company. “We are very excited to welcome Bert to our Suntex family,” said Suntex COO Rich Carter in a statement. “His background in restaurant and club management, coupled with yacht charter company management, as well as a strong work ethic makes him an ideal addition to the Kentucky Dam team.”
