Ranger’s Z520 Comanche wins design honor

Ranger Boats’ Z520 Comanche was named to the 2009 lost of “Excellence in Design” award winners by Trailer Boats magazine.

In its recap of the Ranger Z520 Comanche, the Trailer Boats staff writes, “Some rigs simply epitomize state-of-the-art, and that’s exactly what you’ve got with Ranger’s Z520 Comanche.

“Topside, it’s evident in items such as a padded bow deck that makes long days of casting more comfortable, or a center rod locker that quickly converts to handle rods or tackle storage — or both. The rest of the design is equally commendable. … It’s designs like this that separate the casual from the dedicated in the world of freshwater fishboats.”

Measuring 20 feet, 9 inches, the Z520 Comanche is rated for a maximum 250 horsepower and features 48 gallons of fuel capacity.

Ranger Boats, which is a Genmar brand, is based in Flippin, Ark.
