RBFF holding gift-card drawing for pledges

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation announced that anyone who takes the Angler's Legacy Pledge - a promise to introduce someone new to the sport - will be eligible to win a $50 gift card from Dick's Sporting Goods.

"We are happy to work with Dick's to encourage boaters and anglers to introduce newcomers to the sport," RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. "It's important to reflect on the reasons why we started boating and fishing and I hope those memories inspire people this holiday to take the Angler's Legacy Pledge."

Angler's Legacy was created in May 2006 by RBFF to increase first-time boating and fishing experiences. Since then it has recruited more than 185,000 "ambassadors," or people who agree to introduce newcomers to the sport.
