Regatta will benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Maryland Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will hold its 17th annual Annapolis Leukemia Cup Regatta this weekend.

Sponsored by Eastport Yacht Club and supported by the Annapolis Yacht Club, the competition will feature more than 100 boats in eight classes.

The weekend begins Friday with a Sailor's Launch Party, sponsored by SunTrust Bank, at Annapolis Yacht Club. The regatta begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by an All Hands Crew Party at 4 p.m. at Eastport Yacht Club.

Top fund-raisers will be awarded prizes, including an opportunity to sail the San Francisco Bay with world-renowned sailor and ESPN commentator Gary Jobson, national Leukemia Cup chairman.
