Reichhold announced a 100 euro/mt price increase effective Aug. 1 on all its products sold in Europe.

"In recent weeks, further significant escalation of prices of all key feedstock and raw materials utilized to manufacture polyester resins and related products has made this price adjustment necessary," the company said in a statement.

"We appreciate our customers' understanding of these difficult market conditions as we make every effort to mitigate the impact of rising costs on our product pricing," the company added.

Founded in 1927, North Carolina-based Reichhold is a leading manufacturer of unsaturated polyester resins and a leading supplier of coating resins for the industrial, transportation, building and construction, marine, consumer and graphic arts markets.
