A month after acquiring the rights to the Powerboat brand, Bonnier Corp. announced it will relaunch the magazine this fall.

Jason Johnson returns as editor alongside Bonnier group publisher Jamie Burris, who leads the sales team, the company said.

“The next chapter in Powerboat’s storied 40-plus-year history will be an especially exciting time with the Bonnier name behind the ‘World’s Leading Performance Boating Magazine’,” said Johnson, who has worked on Powerboat for six years. “We’ll still deliver the same trusted, informative and first-rate content expected in every issue of the magazine, and we’ll soon serve our dedicated audience with new digital offerings.”

Current Powerboat subscribers will automatically receive the relaunched magazine.

When Bonnier acquired Trailer Boats and Powerboat from Ehlert Publishing Group last month, it said the brands would move online into its digital media platforms.
