Resin supplier AOC announced a price increase of 8 cents a pound for all vinylester resin shipments within the United States and Canada.

The increase goes into effect Oct. 1.

"Raw material increases can no longer be absorbed and must be passed along. Key vinylester ingredients, including methacrylic acid and styrene, contributed to increase in cost," the company said in a statement.

Additionally, all shipments of K190 series resins will increase by 30 cents a pound for all shipments within the United States and Canada. That increase also goes into effect Oct. 1.

The company also announced price increases for Europe, Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
