The Sail America Industry Conference said Marcus Sheridan, an expert in inbound and content marketing, will address the conference as a keynote speaker on June 1.
Sheridan, who began his sales, marketing, and personal development blog, "The Sales Lion," in 2009, will speak on “Letting Go of the Way it has Always Been Done.”
The conference will be held from May 31 to June 2 at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown.
Conference organizers said Sheridan has grown his brand to be synonymous with marketing excellence. He has been featured in several publications, including The New York Times, where he was referenced as a web marketing guru.
He has become a global speaker and consultant in the digital sales and marketing space, working with hundreds of business and brands.
In his conference presentation Sheridan will ask the question: What businesses are leading their industry in the new digital world of which we're all a part?
Organizers said he will argue that it is not those that insist on "doing it the way it has always been done," and he will provide examples of companies that are reinventing their space and breaking the traditional rules of business.
