In a move designed to deliver a direct customer experience, Atlantis WeatherGear is teaming up with Cloudveil to open a new "A&C" concept store in Marblehead, Mass.

The name “A&C” is rooted in the store’s theme, which combines two American outdoor apparel brands, Atlantis and Cloudveil.

“Company stores have always been a part of our distribution strategy, and what better place to prove the concept than a town that embodies the coastal lifestyle,” Atlantis CMO Bill Lynn said in a statement. “Cloudveil is the perfect complement to the Atlantis range since most sailors tend to spend the colder months on snow. Both brands are born from a similar ‘by athletes for athletes’ approach to technical apparel design, and they share a similar focus on performance and quality.”

The store has been developed in partnership with Wayne and Kim George, retail experts and owners of F.L. Woods, the nautical lifestyle shop down the street from the new store.

The A&C store is open and a grand-opening event is planned for early December in conjunction with Marblehead’s Christmas Walk weekend.
