Sailing news site adds U.S. edition

The Sailing News Web site is now available in a localized U.S. version. covers sailing in North America and important events in Europe and elsewhere around the world. In addition, it offers industry news, links to sailing books, publications and TV channels and coverage of environmental topics that concern sailors.

The site publishes seven days a week in English, German and French. The German and French sites have been online for five years

The site is run by founder Beat Stegmeier from Zurich, Switzerland, and U.S. editor Dieter Loibner in Portland, Ore, who also serves as sailing editor for Soundings, Trade Only's sister publication. Both are veteran sailors and sailing journalists with decades of experience in Olympic classes and all manner of other boats.
