Sea Tow Foundation Accepting Foundation Nominations

Sea Tow Foundation’s Boating Safety Advisory Council yesterday announced that it is accepting nominations for membership. Applications will be accepted through April 19, 2022 and new appointees will be notified in mid-May to serve two-year terms starting on June 1, 2022.

“The Sea Tow Foundation’s Boating Safety Advisory Council has contributed significantly to raising awareness of boating safety within the recreational boating industry,” Sea Tow Foundation executive director Gail R. Kulp said in a statement. “Having top boating industry leaders actively engaged in this council and in boating safety initiatives has no doubt boosted the overall awareness and the importance of boating safety throughout the industry.”

According to the Sea Tow Foundation, Boating Safety Advisory council members attend bi-monthly teleconference meetings to discuss pertinent boating safety topics, participate in boating safety initiatives and engage in planning and judging the organization’s annual National Boating Industry Safety Awards.

Nominees are required to be employed full-time in the for-profit segment of the recreational marine industry, and work in a leadership and/or decision-making role with their organizations. Candidates should have full support of their organization, and an expressed interest in boating safety.
