Sea Tow Services International announced that Brian Iannacone is the winner of its "Rig Your Boat With $10,000!" sweepstakes.

Iannacone, of New Jersey, is a member of the Sea Tow Northern New Jersey franchise. It serves boaters from the George Washington Bridge on the Hudson River to Long Branch Pier in Long Branch, N.J.

Iannacone became a Sea Tow member in July 2010 after purchasing his first boat, a 1995 Rinker cuddy cabin.

"My brother and I kicked around the idea of renting a boat, but it's expensive," Iannacone said. "So I decided to put $3,500 into a used boat, figuring it would be enough for us to explore boating with our families and see whether the kids would like it. It was just common sense to get Sea Tow - even before putting the boat into the water - and sure enough, on my maiden voyage, the engine overheated."

Sea Tow helped Iannacone with a tow back to shore and he has since repaired the boat. Iannacone will sell it this spring and upgrade to a newer boat - a friend's 2001 Larson 270 Cabrio. That friend, Iannacone says, will upgrade to something sized in the mid-30s.

"It's exciting to help Mr. Iannacone and his family kick off the 2011 boating season in a big way," said Kristen Frohnhoefer, Sea Tow chief administrative officer. "While we felt it was important to open the contest up to all boat owners nationwide, we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful outcome and are deeply thankful that Mr. Iannacone chose Sea Tow as his on-water assistance provider."
