SeaKits Inc. announced it is changing its name to WheelHouse Technologies Inc., effective immediately.

The name change will be rolled out during the next few months to include new advertising, a revamped website and marketing collateral.

"While the SeaKits brand has become well-known in the yachting community, management felt a name change would better reflect the company's emphasis in computerized maintenance management solutions, as well as its expansion into workboat and passenger vessel fleets," the company said in a statement.

"The company's popular Marine Maintenance Systems will now be referred to simply as 'WheelHouse' for a single vessel and 'WheelHouse Fleet Solutions' for a fleet," the company added. "The company's line of custom kits for spare parts, oil and coolant analysis and damage control/emergency repair will continue to be available as 'SeaKits Brand Kits.' "
